Davis Waldorf School's 4th Grade Class "Warms the Heart" by Collecting Books

Nora Shimoda, Associate Director of the "Love-Talk-Read" Children's Book Drive
explains to Mrs. Luebeck's 4th grade class the importance of giving books to
children in under resourced children in Yolo County.
We are so thrilled that Mrs. Luebeck's 4th grade class at Davis Waldorf School is collecting books for the "Love-Talk-Read" Children's Book Drive to benefit under resourced children in Yolo County.  February is the school's "Warm the Heart" month where various classes take on a project to support the community and we are so fortunate and appreciative that the 4th grade class selected to help our book drive.  The students have placed book donation boxes in many classrooms to involve the students in other grades.
Nora Shimoda, Associate Director of LTR Book Drive and Tracy Keenan, M.S.W.,
Davis Waldorf School Inclusion Coordinator, is leading the book drive and she is
also the parent of a student in the 4th grade class.
We would like to thank Mrs. Luebeck, the students in her 4th grade class, and Tracy Keenan, M.S.W., Davis Waldorf School's Social Inclusion Coordinator, for spearheading the book drive.  The classroom (excluding the 4th grade class) that collects the most books will win a frozen yogurt party.   All of the books collected from Davis Waldorf School will be given to agencies serving families in their own community of Yolo County.  We are so excited and we will post an update at the end of the book drive.  Thank you so much, Davis Waldorf School!
